WELCOME TO REDMOND GYMNASTICS!

Hi Girls,

It has been a good first week. Ryan and I look forward to meeting all your parents at the Athetics meeting at Redmond High School on Thursday.

This week our goal is to try to get eveyone to get through, and remember, all of their floor routine's. We also want to get through each girls bars routine skills so we can start putting the routine together. Lastly we want to get a few of you through a handspring vault. Many of our skills will revolve around flexibility and the ability to correctly do leaps and/or jumps. Feel free to work on your flexibility at home as well as at practice. Next week we hope to get everyone through their beam routines so that the week after we can do mostly clean up for our frst meet.  See you all tomorrow.

GO STANGS!!!!

UPDATES:

Hi girls-
I hope you enjoy RHS gym this year. Even enjoy the conditioning and oversplits because the season (and your time at high school) will be over before you know it.
Have some bonding activities and get to know and respect all of your teammates, because high school gym should be a place where you can go to have fun and be accepted and work hard too. There is nothing better than being cheered on during a routine! In terms of work ethic, push yourself til you're sweaty and gross, and always remember where you started. A roundoff may not seem like much but when you remember that you couldn't even do a cartwheel when you started, it puts things in perspective. Work hard but if you start to take things way too seriously, take a step back and work on something else, because if you stress yourself out too much (Kaylee....) it won't be fun anymore! Always remember to smile, point your toes, condition your wrists and ankles so you don't get hurt, and try not to give Jason any more gray hair.
Call/ email/ text/ send me a letter any time! I love hearing from all of you, and hopefully will be at a meet during break! Make me proud ladies,

Ally Garcia Team Captain 2008-2012
